City centre servicing is rarely held up by the boiler. It is held up by lift bookings, concierge hours and a managing agent who needs notice. We are based in G3, minutes away, and we would rather sort the access when you book than lose the slot on the day. Gas Safe registered, and the record is with you before we leave the building.
Tell us what's up, we usually get back within the hour with a clear price.
Most city centre flats are modern and their boilers are straightforward to service, so the part of the job that needs organising is getting into the building rather than anything to do with the appliance.
Boiler servicing in the G1 postcode is technically the easiest work we do and logistically among the most awkward. The appliances are almost all modern combis fitted within the last ten to twenty years, in purpose-built flats or recent conversions, and a service on one is routine. What is not routine is the building. Managed blocks come with concierge desks, visitor permits, goods lifts that need booking and loading bays with time limits, and none of that can be sorted on the doorstep.
That makes the city centre the one part of Glasgow where we ask about the building before we ask about the boiler. If there is a managing agent involved, if access needs arranging through a concierge, or if the flat is in a block where contractors have to be signed in, telling us at the point of booking means we arrive with the right arrangements rather than losing an hour or the whole slot. It is a small thing that decides whether the job happens on the day it was booked.
Where the city centre gets genuinely more complex is communal plant. A number of blocks run communal heating rather than individual boilers, and in those the servicing of the plant is the factor's or the agent's responsibility rather than yours, while anything inside your flat remains yours. Working out which is which is worth doing once, properly, because the boundary is not always obvious and it determines who is meant to be arranging what.
We are based at Fitzroy Place in G3, which is a few minutes from most of G1, so city centre servicing is usually quick to book. The limiting factor is normally the building's access arrangements rather than our availability, so the sooner those are confirmed the sooner we can fix a slot.
If a city centre service finds an unsafe appliance we make it safe before leaving and report it to you and, where relevant, the managing agent. Call 07988 591331.
Mo and David carry out city centre servicing, both Gas Safe registered. Worcester, Vaillant and Ideal combis are what we see most in G1 flats.
City centre drainage is Paul and Kyle. Same number.
Communal heating plant is a different arrangement to an individual flat boiler. Tell us which you have and we will tell you honestly whether it is yours to arrange or the agent's.
Goods lifts, visitor permits and concierge hours all need booking ahead. Told at the point of booking it is a non-issue. Discovered on the day it costs the slot.
In blocks with communal heating the boundary between the agent's responsibility and yours is not always obvious. Worth establishing once rather than assuming.
An agent arranging a service without confirming the resident is in produces the same wasted visit as no booking at all. We confirm both sides.
Some G1 buildings have only loading bay access with strict limits. It affects how we schedule rather than the service itself, but it needs knowing in advance.
City centre servicing is Mo and David, both Gas Safe registered. The part of this work that benefits from experience is not the service, it is knowing how these buildings run. We deal with managing agents and concierge desks across G1 regularly, and we would rather spend five minutes on the phone establishing how contractor access works in your block than turn up and find out we cannot get past the front desk. If you are arranging this as an agent for several flats, tell us at the start and we will schedule them as one visit to the building rather than several visits to the same address.
City centre servicing is priced the same as anywhere else in Glasgow and being close to G1 means we are not adding travel to the bill. We give you a clear price before any work starts. That price is what goes on the invoice. Block bookings across several flats in one building are cheaper per flat, since the access only has to be arranged once.

“Our radiator pipe was bent and leaking. They answered straight away… Guy was here an hour later and he was wearing ID, very professional, patient and kind. We just got a new carpet in this room and he done an amazing job on getting little to no water on it. Couldn't recommend enough, price was reasonable.”

“We lost heating just in time for the coldest day of the year with a baby in the house… When I contacted them they were ready to dispatch that night. Fixed by the afternoon. Quoted that morning and no extra charges were added. Honestly cannot thank them enough.”

“As a small business owner, I needed a drainage company that could respond quickly. The team attended first thing in the morning, cleared the blocked drain and carried out a full CCTV survey. All documentation emailed across promptly. Professional, efficient and great value for money.”
