Partick has a real mix of tenement flats, modern conversions and student accommodation, all with their own plumbing quirks. Mo's team cover Partick around the clock. Call now and we will get someone out with a clear price.
Tell us what's up, we usually get back within the hour with a clear price.
Partick is a transport hub and busy residential area with a mix of older tenements and newer developments along the Dumbarton Road corridor.
Partick sits at the gateway to the West End, bordered by the River Kelvin to the east and the Clyde to the south. It is one of Glasgow's most connected areas with underground, train and bus links making it popular with students, young professionals and long-term residents alike. The housing stock is varied, from original red sandstone tenements on the main streets to modern flat developments closer to the riverside.
The older Partick tenements along Dumbarton Road and the surrounding streets have plumbing systems that are typical of Glasgow's Victorian housing stock. Original copper pipework, shared drainage in the close, and ageing boilers are the three things we deal with most. The newer riverside developments have modern systems but can have their own issues, particularly around water pressure and shower fittings.
Partick is a regular callout area for Mo's team. We know Dumbarton Road flats with their shared close drainage, the student lets around Merkland Street and the older terraces behind the main road. When we get a Partick callout we know what to pack and we know the area well enough to get there without delays.
Partick is close to our Glasgow base and a regular part of our daily patch. Response times during the day are good and genuine emergencies we head straight out regardless of time.
For Partick emergencies we head straight out. Burst pipes, no heating, gas leaks. We give you a clear price before we arrive and carry the most common parts on the van.
We repair all boiler brands in Partick. Student lets especially often have poorly maintained boilers and we carry the parts for the most common models installed in these buildings.
Shared tenement drainage is common in Partick. Paul and Kyle cover Partick with jetting equipment and can clear shared close stacks as well as individual connections.
Central heating faults in Partick properties vary from modern apartment systems to older single-pipe setups in the tenements. We diagnose across all types.
Partick tenements share drainage in the close. A blockage in one flat can back up into others quickly. We clear these fast.
Student lets in Partick often have boilers that have not been serviced regularly. We prioritise no-heating callouts especially in winter.
New riverside flats in Partick often have pressure issues with thermostatic shower valves. We diagnose and fix these quickly.
A call at about half one in the morning from a top floor flat off Dumbarton Road. The tenant had woken up to water coming through the ceiling light fitting, which is the point at which most people stop looking for the stopcock and start ringing. The burst was not in their flat at all. It was in the empty flat above, which had been left unheated over the Christmas break while the students were away, and a section of pipe in an unheated hall had frozen and split. Nobody had a key. We isolated the supply at the close and stopped the water within a few minutes of arriving, which was the whole job that night, then repaired the split section once access was arranged two days later. The ceiling below was saved. Left until the morning it would not have been.
Partick jobs are priced the same as anywhere in Glasgow. You get a clear honest quote before we start.
If water is coming in, the two useful things you can do are turn it off and get it away from electrics, in that order. The stopcock in a Partick tenement flat is most often under the kitchen sink, occasionally in a hall cupboard, and in some of the older subdivided flats it is out in the close serving several properties at once. Worth finding out where yours is now rather than at two in the morning, because that knowledge is the difference between a damp patch and a ceiling. If you cannot find it or it will not turn, do not force it, an old stopcock that snaps makes the situation considerably worse. Put buckets down, move what you can, switch off the power at the consumer unit if water is anywhere near a light fitting or a socket, and call. We will talk you through isolating it on the phone while we are on the way if there is a way to do it safely.

“Our radiator pipe was bent and leaking. They answered straight away… Guy was here an hour later and he was wearing ID, very professional, patient and kind. We just got a new carpet in this room and he done an amazing job on getting little to no water on it. Couldn't recommend enough, price was reasonable.”

“We lost heating just in time for the coldest day of the year with a baby in the house… When I contacted them they were ready to dispatch that night. Fixed by the afternoon. Quoted that morning and no extra charges were added. Honestly cannot thank them enough.”

“As a small business owner, I needed a drainage company that could respond quickly. The team attended first thing in the morning, cleared the blocked drain and carried out a full CCTV survey. All documentation emailed across promptly. Professional, efficient and great value for money.”
