Commercial gas is a separate registration from domestic, and that is the first thing worth knowing when you are choosing who to let near a catering appliance. A domestic Gas Safe card does not cover a commercial kitchen. Tell us what appliances you actually have and we will confirm the scope before quoting rather than turning up and finding out.
Tell us what's up, we usually get back within the hour with a clear price.
What you have, what category it falls in, and what our engineers hold. This happens before a price rather than on arrival.
The appliances, the supply and, in a commercial kitchen, the interlock tying gas to ventilation. Bypassed interlocks are a common find and a serious one.
Paperwork issued by the engineer who carried out the work, kept as a running record rather than a certificate per visit.
A schedule matched to your insurer and lease obligations, aligned with commercial heating and drainage visits where you use us for those too.
Here's what commercial gasfrom Mo's team includes.
Commercial gas work quoted after scope is confirmed, planned contracts on a fixed schedule, work guaranteed for 12 months.
Commercial gas work is carried out by our commercial gas engineers, holding the commercial registration that this work requires. Mo and David cover the domestic gas and heating side of the business and are Gas Safe registered for that work. We keep the distinction explicit rather than blurring it into one claim, because commercial gas is precisely the area where a vague answer about qualifications should worry a customer, and that holds whether the vagueness is ours or a competitor's.
Commercial gas rarely sits on its own in a building. In a kitchen the extraction is directly tied to it through the interlock, so a ventilation fault becomes a gas problem rather than a comfort one. Grease-laden drainage in the same kitchen is our own trade and worth putting on the same visit schedule. And where the premises has heating plant as well, aligning the gas certification cycle with the heating service means one visit and one set of records rather than two contractors arriving in different months to look at connected systems.
We confirm the appliance scope first, then quote, and that price is what goes on the invoice. Commercial gas is priced on what is actually being inspected or worked on rather than per visit, because a single office boiler and a full commercial kitchen are not comparable pieces of work. Planned contracts run at a fixed schedule and price. Where the scope turns out to include something outside what our engineers hold the category for, we will say so and tell you what you need rather than taking the work and improvising, which is the failure mode worth avoiding on commercial gas specifically.
Worth saying plainly even though it applies to us as much as anyone. Ask to see the Gas Safe card and look at the categories on the back, not just the front. Commercial gas is a separate registration from domestic, and catering appliances are a separate category again within it, so a card alone tells you very little. A contractor who is comfortable showing you the categories and saying which of your appliances they can and cannot cover is telling you something useful. One who answers a scope question with reassurance rather than specifics is telling you something too. We would rather lose a job at the scoping stage than take one that turns out to be outside what we hold, and any contractor worth using will take the same view.

“Our radiator pipe was bent and leaking. They answered straight away… Guy was here an hour later and he was wearing ID, very professional, patient and kind. We just got a new carpet in this room and he done an amazing job on getting little to no water on it. Couldn't recommend enough, price was reasonable.”

“We lost heating just in time for the coldest day of the year with a baby in the house… When I contacted them they were ready to dispatch that night. Fixed by the afternoon. Quoted that morning and no extra charges were added. Honestly cannot thank them enough.”

“As a small business owner, I needed a drainage company that could respond quickly. The team attended first thing in the morning, cleared the blocked drain and carried out a full CCTV survey. All documentation emailed across promptly. Professional, efficient and great value for money.”
