A villa in the upper town of Helensburgh can sit a long way back from the road, and every metre of drain between the house and the street belongs to the house. A blocked drain at the far end of a run that long behaves differently from one under a city flat. The toilets may be fine while the gully at the back overflows, or the other way round, depending on where along the line it has stopped. Clearing blocked drains on these plots starts with finding where the run goes and where it can be opened, because plenty of the access points disappeared under lawns and gravel decades ago.

In short: Blocked drains in Helensburgh G84 cleared by Paul and Kyle. Long villa drain runs traced from chamber to sewer, 24/7 for emergencies.

Helensburgh's upper town is a grid of big villas on deep plots, and the drain from each one runs the length of the garden before it reaches the sewer under the street.
Helensburgh was laid out as a planned town on a grid climbing the hill from the Clyde, and its upper streets filled with large Victorian and Edwardian villas on generous plots. Many of those villas have since been divided into flats or had a second house built in the garden. Nearer the shore there are terraces, older flats and flats over the shops, and newer estates sit round the edges of the town.
A drain serving one house is the owner's responsibility until it joins the public sewer, which in the upper streets is usually under the road. On a deep plot that private section is long, and the soil pipe, the kitchen waste and several downpipes all join it on the way. Every joint and bend is a place a blockage can start, and the inspection chambers that give access to them are often under a lawn, a gravel drive or a path laid long after the drain. Where a villa has been divided, the run below the point where the flats' pipes meet is usually shared between them, and the title deeds say how.
Sewage coming up into the house or out of a chamber is an emergency at any hour. Stop using water in the house and call 07988 591331.
Boiler and heating work is a separate team on the same number.
Paul and Kyle clear villa runs, shared runs under divided villas and gullies, then run the camera to confirm the line is clear to the sewer.
A condensing boiler whose condensate pipe drains into a blocked run can lock out too, and it is checked once the drain is flowing.
Where the blockage sits far down a long run, everything upstream of it fills before anything shows. By the time a gully overflows, the pipe may be full right back to the house. Clearing it from the house end means pushing through the whole length, so the chamber nearest the blockage is the place to work from.
Inspection chambers get covered by turf, gravel, patios and extensions over the years. The run can usually be traced from the one chamber still visible, with a camera carrying a small transmitter that can be picked up from the surface, which also shows where the hidden chambers are.
In many older villas the rainwater from the roof goes into the same drain as the toilets. A partly blocked run copes on a dry day and backs up in a downpour, which in a west coast town is often, and it can make a blockage look like a rain problem when the rain is only what exposes it.
On a long private run Kyle, who runs the high-pressure jetting, works from the chamber closest to the blockage rather than from the house, because jetting the full length of an old clay line to reach one stoppage puts every joint under strain for nothing. Paul then runs the camera from the same chamber, to show that the line is clear all the way to the sewer and to note any joint that has opened or dropped. If the footage shows damage, it is yours to keep, and the repair is a separate decision for another day rather than something added to the clearance.
We give you a clear price before any work starts. That price is what goes on the invoice. On a long villa run the thing that moves the price is access. A blockage reached from an open chamber close to it is a short job. One where the chambers are buried and have to be found first takes longer, and if a cover has to be uncovered under gravel or turf, you are told before anything is lifted.

“Our radiator pipe was bent and leaking. They answered straight away… Guy was here an hour later and he was wearing ID, very professional, patient and kind. We just got a new carpet in this room and he done an amazing job on getting little to no water on it. Couldn't recommend enough, price was reasonable.”

“We lost heating just in time for the coldest day of the year with a baby in the house… When I contacted them they were ready to dispatch that night. Fixed by the afternoon. Quoted that morning and no extra charges were added. Honestly cannot thank them enough.”

“As a small business owner, I needed a drainage company that could respond quickly. The team attended first thing in the morning, cleared the blocked drain and carried out a full CCTV survey. All documentation emailed across promptly. Professional, efficient and great value for money.”
