Worth knowing that most manufacturers only honour the longer warranties where the system was flushed and a filter fitted at installation, which is why both are standard here rather than optional. Our own workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months alongside it.

Usually yes, though it needs a proper look first. The two things that decide it are where a flue can safely terminate and whether the gas supply into the flat is adequate. Both are answerable on a survey visit, and we will tell you straight if a particular flat is not practical rather than starting and stopping.

Honest answer, sometimes, but not as often as the current push suggests. In a well-insulated property with room for the unit and bigger radiators, a heat pump can genuinely work. In a Glasgow tenement flat with solid walls, limited outside space and a shared close, the numbers usually do not stack up yet. We would rather say that than sell you something that disappoints, and we will tell you if we think your property is one of the ones where it does make sense.

Often, yes, and a first-time install or system change is the natural moment to do it. Moving a boiler from a bedroom cupboard to a kitchen or utility means new gas, water and flue runs, so it adds to the cost, but it is much cheaper done now than as a separate job later.
