A lot of Falkirk boilers were never bought one at a time. Whole streets in Camelon, Bainsford and Hallglen were fitted in one programme, same model, same week, and roughly twenty years on they are reaching the end together. That changes what a booked repair is worth on yours, and it is the first thing we work out.
Tell us what's up, we usually get back within the hour with a clear price.
Falkirk boilers were often fitted a street at a time rather than one at a time, so the age of the one next door is genuinely useful information about yours.
Falkirk grew around iron. The Carron Company and the foundries that followed it built the town, and the housing came in distinct waves rather than gradually: pre-war and inter-war terraces close to the works, then large post-war council estates at Camelon, Bainsford, Langlees and Hallglen, then from the 1990s onward a steady run of private estates aimed at people commuting to Glasgow or Edinburgh off the main line. Each wave sits in its own part of FK1 and FK2 and you can usually tell which one you are in from the street.
For boilers specifically the middle wave is the one that matters. Estate housing does not get its heating replaced house by house, it gets replaced in programmes, so a run of properties will have had the same model fitted by the same contractor inside the same few months. Twenty odd years later those units are all arriving at the same place at once. The practical consequences are real: parts for that particular model get harder to find locally just as demand for them peaks, and a boiler that has already had two or three repairs is competing against a queue of neighbours in the same position.
So the useful question in Falkirk is rarely just what has failed. It is whether the thing that failed is the first of several. On a batch-fitted estate boiler with a couple of repairs already behind it we will say plainly if we think you are spending good money on a losing appliance, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a part. On the newer estates the answer is usually the opposite: those boilers are young enough that almost anything is worth fixing, and the fault is more often something that was never quite right from installation than something that has worn out.
No heat at all, out of hours, and it will not keep until a booked slot: that is the emergency boiler repair side and the number is the same. This page is the planned side, where there is time to work out whether the repair is the right spend.
Booked boiler repairs across Falkirk on estate-fitted units and newer private-estate installs alike. Manufacturer certified for Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal and Vokera.
Drainage in Falkirk is Paul and Kyle, same number. Worth naming separately because a condensate problem and a drainage problem look identical from the kitchen floor.
Radiators, pumps, valves and system cleaning on the older estate systems, where the pipework is frequently older than the boiler bolted onto it.
Programme-fitted estate boilers were installed within weeks of each other and they fail within a season or two of each other. If two neighbours have replaced theirs in the last year, that is information about yours rather than a coincidence, and it is worth factoring in before paying for a third repair.
The flip side of batch fitting is that when a common component on that model starts going, local availability tightens for everyone at once. We will tell you honestly if a part is on long lead time, because on an older unit that answer often decides the repair-or-replace question on its own.
Falkirk properties frequently come to us with a boiler that has already been worked on twice. Each repair was probably correct at the time. The question we get asked to answer is a different one: whether the pattern is bad luck or an appliance telling you something. Two unrelated faults is bad luck. Three, on a unit past fifteen, usually is not.
On the commuter developments the fault is more often an installation detail than wear. Condensate runs taken the shortest way rather than the warmest, systems commissioned without being properly flushed, flues sited where the prevailing wind pushes back down them. These show up years later as a boiler problem and get treated as one.
A semi in Hallglen, third repair in four years on the same boiler, this time the fan. The owner asked what it would cost and we gave the figure, then said what we actually thought, which was that a fan on a nineteen year old unit that had already had a pump and a gas valve was money going into an appliance with very little left. Two houses along the same terrace had been replaced the previous winter. We fitted the fan anyway, because it was February and that was the sensible immediate call, and we said plainly it was buying a season rather than fixing the problem. They planned the replacement for the summer instead of having it forced on them in the cold. That is the honest version of a Falkirk repair conversation and it is the one worth having before the part goes on, not after.
Falkirk sits on our eastern run and boiler work here is usually Mo or David, both Gas Safe registered. What the town rewards is being willing to say the unwelcome thing. Plenty of the estate boilers here can be repaired, and the honest answer is still sometimes that they should not be. Nobody thanks you for a part fitted to an appliance you knew was finished, and the reputation of a business that works a town this size is built one straight answer at a time rather than one invoice at a time. If the fault turns out to be the system rather than the boiler, or drainage rather than either, the right person picks it up on the same number.
Falkirk is priced the same as the rest of our coverage with no loading for the journey. You get a clear price before any work starts and that price is what goes on the invoice. On an older estate boiler we will also tell you what the repair is realistically buying you in time, because a cheap part on a finished appliance is not a saving. If we find a second fault behind the first once the case is off, we stop and tell you what it means before going further.

“Our radiator pipe was bent and leaking. They answered straight away… Guy was here an hour later and he was wearing ID, very professional, patient and kind. We just got a new carpet in this room and he done an amazing job on getting little to no water on it. Couldn't recommend enough, price was reasonable.”

“We lost heating just in time for the coldest day of the year with a baby in the house… When I contacted them they were ready to dispatch that night. Fixed by the afternoon. Quoted that morning and no extra charges were added. Honestly cannot thank them enough.”

“As a small business owner, I needed a drainage company that could respond quickly. The team attended first thing in the morning, cleared the blocked drain and carried out a full CCTV survey. All documentation emailed across promptly. Professional, efficient and great value for money.”
