If you let out property in Grangemouth, the awkward part of a boiler repair is rarely the boiler. It is arranging access twice, once for the repair and once for the annual gas safety check, around a tenant who works. Where the certificate is due anyway, there is no reason those should be two separate visits.
Tell us what's up, we usually get back within the hour with a clear price.
Grangemouth has a substantial rented sector, and for a landlord the repair and the annual gas check are two access arrangements that are usually better made one.
Grangemouth sits on the Forth with the refinery and the docks at its edge, and the town grew around them: terraced and semi-detached housing through the older streets, post-war estate development at Bowhouse and Newlands, and later building on the outskirts towards Polmont and Skinflats. A good proportion of the housing is let rather than owner occupied.
For a landlord that changes what a boiler repair involves administratively rather than technically. A rented property needs an annual gas safety check on every gas appliance, carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer, with a record given to the tenant and kept. That is a legal duty on the landlord rather than an optional service, and it lands every twelve months whether anything has gone wrong or not.
Muhammad covers this side of the round and does both repairs and gas safety certificates, which is the practical reason to mention it here. Where the certificate is within a couple of months of being due, doing it on the same visit as a repair means one appointment, one access arrangement and one conversation with the tenant instead of two.
Grangemouth is on the eastern run with Falkirk and the Forth valley towns, so a booked boiler repair here usually gets a date within the week with a day and a window rather than an open morning. If a tenant has to be in, say so when you book and we will give you a tighter window rather than a morning, because a tenant taking time off for a four hour window is the thing that makes these arrangements fail.
No heat at all in a let property and it will not keep is the emergency boiler repair side, same number. This page is booked work.
Booked boiler repairs and gas safety certificates across Grangemouth and out towards Polmont and Skinflats. Manufacturer certified for Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal and Vokera.
Drainage is Paul and Kyle on the same number.
Radiators, pumps, valves and balancing across the town's estate and terraced housing.
A repair in November and a certificate due in January is two access arrangements, two days a tenant has to be in, and two lots of coordination. Where the dates are close enough, combining them is straightforward and it is worth asking about rather than assuming it cannot be done.
Tenants sometimes live with a heating problem rather than raise it, which turns a small repair into a bigger one. A landlord who is already arranging an annual visit gets a chance to hear about it before it becomes urgent.
A void period is when it is easiest to get access and easiest to forget. Where a property changes hands between tenants, the certificate date does not reset, so it is worth checking rather than assuming a new tenancy means a new twelve months.
Where a fault needs something ordering, the certificate can still be completed on the day if the appliance is safe, so the visit is not wasted and only the repair needs a return. That is worth planning for rather than discovering.
Grangemouth work is usually Muhammad, who is Gas Safe registered and whose side of the job is repairs and gas safety certificates rather than installation. On a let property the useful thing is being straight with everybody. The tenant gets told what is wrong and what is happening in plain terms, and the landlord gets the same account rather than a different one. Where a repair is needed and the appliance is safe to use meanwhile, we say so. Where it is not, we say that instead and we do not leave it ambiguous, because an appliance nobody is sure about is worse for everyone than a clear answer either way.
Grangemouth is priced the same as the rest of our coverage with no loading for the journey out. You get a clear price before any work starts and that price is what goes on the invoice. Where a repair and a certificate are done on the same visit they are priced as the two pieces of work they are, itemised so you can see both, rather than bundled into one figure. If a second fault appears once the case is off, we stop and tell you before going on.

“Our radiator pipe was bent and leaking. They answered straight away… Guy was here an hour later and he was wearing ID, very professional, patient and kind. We just got a new carpet in this room and he done an amazing job on getting little to no water on it. Couldn't recommend enough, price was reasonable.”

“We lost heating just in time for the coldest day of the year with a baby in the house… When I contacted them they were ready to dispatch that night. Fixed by the afternoon. Quoted that morning and no extra charges were added. Honestly cannot thank them enough.”

“As a small business owner, I needed a drainage company that could respond quickly. The team attended first thing in the morning, cleared the blocked drain and carried out a full CCTV survey. All documentation emailed across promptly. Professional, efficient and great value for money.”
