Troon has a higher share of boilers we would call unusual than anywhere else on the Ayrshire round. Quality installs in quality houses, often specified by an architect or a builder rather than picked off a merchant's shelf, and that means makes and models that are common in the south of England and rare here. It changes parts, it changes lead times, and it is worth establishing before anyone starts.
Tell us what's up, we usually get back within the hour with a clear price.
Troon has more of the less common boiler makes than the rest of the Ayrshire round, which changes parts and lead times more than it changes the repair.
Troon is a prosperous coastal town of substantial housing, from the villas along the seafront and around the golf courses to solid inter-war and post-war family homes further back, with newer developments filling in between. A lot of the property here has been renovated to a high standard, and a fair proportion of the heating has been specified as part of that work rather than replaced reactively when something failed.
That produces a boiler population that does not look like the rest of Ayrshire. Alongside the makes that dominate everywhere, Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal and Vokera, Troon turns up a steady trickle of the less common ones, including continental makes that are well regarded and perfectly good appliances but that no local merchant stocks parts for. The repair itself is rarely harder. What changes is whether the part is on the van, in a wholesaler tomorrow, or five working days away from a national distributor.
We are manufacturer certified for the five makes above, which means work on those keeps any remaining manufacturer warranty intact. On anything outside that list we will say so rather than quietly proceeding, because on an appliance still in cover the right advice is to go through the manufacturer's own scheme. That is a less profitable answer and it is the correct one. David runs most of the Troon boiler work and is Gas Safe registered, and establishing the make and the warranty position is the first thing he does rather than the last.
No heat at all and it will not keep is the emergency boiler repair side, same number. This page is booked work, where there is time to check the make, the warranty and the parts position before starting.
Booked boiler repairs across Troon and out to Loans. Manufacturer certified for Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal and Vokera, and straight with you about anything outside that list.
Drainage is Paul and Kyle on the same number.
Radiators, pumps, valves, controls and balancing across the larger Troon systems.
The commonest reason a Troon repair takes longer than a Kilmarnock one, and it has nothing to do with the fault. We check the make before quoting a timescale so you get a real date rather than an optimistic one, and where a part is genuinely days away we will say that at diagnosis rather than after you have committed.
In a house finished to this standard the pipework, the valves and often the flue run are behind joinery rather than on show. That is not a fault, but it does mean diagnosis takes longer because getting eyes on a run is a small job in itself. We allow for it rather than discovering it, and we take panels off properly rather than forcing them.
Where a Troon property has been extended or reconfigured since the heating went in, the appliance can be doing a job it was never sized for. That shows as struggling rather than failing, and it is a different conversation from a repair.
In a house finished to this standard, how a job is left matters. Boxing that comes off and goes back properly, floor coverings protected, no chased plaster where it can be avoided. It is not a technical point but it does change how a repair is planned, and it is fair to expect it.
Troon is priced the same as the rest of our coverage with no loading for the journey. You get a clear price before any work starts and that price is what goes on the invoice. The variable here is more often the part than the labour, so we establish the make and the availability first and tell you both numbers together. If the appliance turns out to be in warranty we will tell you that even where it means we do less of the work.
Almost every boiler sold in Scotland is one of five or six makes, and the whole supply chain is built around that. Parts sit on vans and in local wholesalers, every engineer has seen the fault before, and a repair is same day far more often than not. Troon has a steady minority of appliances outside that group, usually because the heating was specified as part of a renovation rather than replaced when something broke, and several of them are continental makes that are genuinely well built. The appliance being unusual does not make it worse and it rarely makes the diagnosis harder. Three practical things change. Parts come from a national distributor rather than a local counter, so a repair that would take an afternoon takes days, and you should be given that date at diagnosis rather than after you have agreed. Second, fewer engineers locally have worked on that make, which matters for getting it right first time more than it matters for competence. Third, if the appliance is one of the five we are manufacturer certified for, Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal or Vokera, we can work on it without affecting anything the manufacturer has in place. If it is not, we will tell you that up front and, where the appliance is young enough for it to matter, point you at the manufacturer's own scheme instead of taking the job. Establishing the make first costs nothing and it decides all three of those.

“Our radiator pipe was bent and leaking. They answered straight away… Guy was here an hour later and he was wearing ID, very professional, patient and kind. We just got a new carpet in this room and he done an amazing job on getting little to no water on it. Couldn't recommend enough, price was reasonable.”

“We lost heating just in time for the coldest day of the year with a baby in the house… When I contacted them they were ready to dispatch that night. Fixed by the afternoon. Quoted that morning and no extra charges were added. Honestly cannot thank them enough.”

“As a small business owner, I needed a drainage company that could respond quickly. The team attended first thing in the morning, cleared the blocked drain and carried out a full CCTV survey. All documentation emailed across promptly. Professional, efficient and great value for money.”
